Positive: Staff are very friendly (including at the restaurant). The location is good It's a calm and relaxing ambient Quiet
Negative: Minor details that could be changed. The hotel overall is a solid 8, but it could be 9,5 or even 10 if some details could be fixed: - The bathroom had two hairs on my sink (this is difficult to accept - it's a pure visual fix. Black hair over a white sink that was very easy to spot - and they were not removed the next day (after housekeeping cleaned my room) - Some towels were a bit overused. - The air conditioner would not be so loud (it would be nice if we had the possibility of adjusting the air speed) - The room lacks an armchair (there are two chairs and a table that are tucked in the corner, making it tight to sit) - My room faced the parking lot, and light illuminated the room at night (even with both curtains closed) - I had to turn the fridge off during the night because it made a loud noise (like a rolling stone) when the compressor turned off (most probably the rubber shock absorbers are worn out)
Summary: Good choice, management should just adjust some of the items I described (all an easy fix)

Positive: The breakfast was ok and pretty standard at most US chain hotels. The location on the lake was beautiful and the restaurant onsite was good.
Negative: We could hear the upstairs guest's and our neighbor's every move. I'm not sure what could have been done since it's most likely because there is not enough sound dampening in the walls, ceiling and floors.

Positive: The staff was friendly, the pool area was nice and it was very clean. The breakfast was great as well!
Negative: We booked a lake view room and got a "garden room" which was the parking lot. I asked the front desk if we could switch or cancel. She said I would forfeit the full payment whether I stayed or not. I asked if we could do an upcharge for the right room and She told me it would cost more than the hotel would even charge for the room. Apparently there was no way to pay the difference, on the booking.com app it was like $30 more. I had left a message for the Inn and stated that this was a very special stay for my daughter and myself and if they could do anything to make her stay better it would be appreciated. They gave her a bear, which was nice but she picked The lake view and we couldn't even upgrade("garden view" which is the parking lot absolutely no "garden" not one flower. The restaurant service and food was very poor. I do NOT recommend it to anyone.
